Beacon Specialized Living in Manassas, VA is seeking a Day Program Professional to lead structured daytime activities, support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and promote independence and community inclusion.

You will document progress, ensure health and safety, and participate in training programs such as CPR and medication administration; the role offers competitive pay and benefits, opportunities for advancement through the LEAP Program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• GED or High School Diploma
• Compassionate, dependable, and team- oriented
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Lead structured activities including social, recreational, and community-based programming
• Support individuals in building independence, social skills, and daily living skills
• Implement individual service plans and support progress toward personal goals
• Ensure health, safety, and dignity of individuals during program hours, transportation, and community outings
• Provide personal care and administer medications as needed (training provided)
• Promote inclusion and positive community engagement
• Utilize crisis prevention and intervention strategies to support individuals safely
• Complete required documentation including daily logs and incident reports
• Transport individuals and supervise activities in community settings
