Job summary

Spread Your Wings LLC seeks dedicated staff to support adults with developmental disabilities in a community-based day program. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:45am–3:15pm, with an emphasis on person-centered care, skill-building, and safe community engagement.

You will transport clients, assist with daily living tasks, and implement individualized plans in parks, libraries, and stores, promoting independence. Strong communication with supervisors and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with clients with developmental disabilities and behavioral support needs.
• Demonstrated passion for helping others and treating people with dignity and respect.
• Ability to problem solve and adapt to different client needs.
• Comfort with independently working in community settings.
• Strong communication and reliability in caregiving roles.

Responsibilities

• Transport client to and from program activities.
• Support clients in community settings such as parks, libraries, stores, and other public venues.
• Implement individualized service plans focused on social skills, communication and safety.
• Assist with daily living skills including hygiene and mobility support.
• Promote independence and client participation in meaningful activities.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and family members as needed.
• Ensure safety and well-being of each individual at all times.
• Assist with redirecting and managing behaviors.

Spread Your Wings is a Community-Based Adult Behavioral Day Program serving individuals with developmental disabilities throughout the Ukiah County areas.

Our staff work out in the community, providing person-centered support and helping individuals build skills, increase independence, and meaningfully engage in everyday life.
