Job summary

Spread Your Wings, LLC. – ILS Services is hiring a Life Skills Mentor/Coach to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and confidence.

You will spend most of your time in the field, coaching on daily living skills, and documenting progress through notes and reports. Must have a bilingual English/Spanish ability, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation to cover the San Clara area.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Computer literacy: MS Word, email, basic data entry.
• Able to commute in and around the San Clara area.

Responsibilities

• Coach clients on building independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and hygiene.
• Encourage and support clients with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
• Help plan and organize weekly goals and schedules for clients.
• Provide documentation of progress through case notes and quarterly reports.
• Spend 90% of time in the field with clients and 10% on admin tasks.
• Collaborate with program managers and regional coordinators and training staff.

Full-Time
Covering the San Clara area
Monday - Friday
10am to 7pm

• Help plan, create, and organize weekly goals and schedules that work for your clients
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes and quarterly reports
• Spend 90% of your time in the field with clients and 10% on admin/documentation
• Collaborate with program managers, regional center coordinators, and training staff

• Can work flexible hours and adapt to different client needs
• Are comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings with clients
• Have behavioral health experience (preferred, not required)
