Job summary

Spread Your Wings, LLC. – ILS Services in the East Bay is hiring a Life Skills Mentor/Coach for part-time hours, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.

You’ll help individuals with developmental disabilities build independence and confidence in daily living. Responsibilities include coaching on cooking, budgeting, hygiene; documenting progress; spending 90% of time in the field with clients; and collaborating with program managers.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Pass a background check per state standards.
• Computer literacy: MS Word, email, basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Coach clients on independent living skills (cooking, budgeting, hygiene).
• Encourage and support clients with developmental disabilities.
• Plan and organize weekly goals and schedules with clients.
• Document progress through case notes and quarterly reports.
• Spend 90% of time in the field with clients; 10% on admin.
• Collaborate with program managers and coordinators.

Requirements:

• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges
• Help plan, create, and organize weekly goals and schedules that work for your clients
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes and quarterly reports
• Spend 90% of your time in the field with clients and 10% on admin/documentation
• Collaborate with program managers, regional center coordinators, and training staff

• Are comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings with clients
• Have behavioral health experience (preferred, not required)
