Job summary

DDRC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Day Program in Denver. The role focuses on helping individuals build life skills, foster independence, and participate in activities across various settings.

You will coach essential skills, provide individualized supports for independent living, and assist with transportation using DDRC vehicles. Strong empathy and willingness to learn are essential traits for making a meaningful difference.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to drive a large van and various vehicles.
• Ability to document information accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Coach essential life skills and encourage social engagement.
• Provide individualized supports to help people live as independently as possible.
• Lead or assist with creative, recreational, and community activities.
• Help people navigate their goals and preferences throughout the day.
• Contribute to a fun, supportive program environment.
• Complete timely documentation related to the people served.
• Foster belonging and inclusion with people served and the community.
• Provide transportation using DDRC vehicles.
