Job summary

Mountain Valley Developmental Services in Colorado is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate, direct care in residential homes for individuals with developmental disabilities and seniors. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, administer medications, document changes, and support clients in achieving independence.

The role requires safety awareness, teamwork and flexibility with shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or working with people who have developmental disabilities, seniors, or patient care.
• Knowledge of first aid, medications, and basic medical procedures.
• CNA certification or interest in becoming CNA.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support individuals to achieve personal goals and independence.
• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, meals).
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions as required.
• Document changes in health or behavior and communicate with the team.
• Maintain a safe, clean living environment and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and community outings.
