Palmers Home Care in Columbia, MO is hiring a Day Program Direct Support Professional to provide on-site supervision and care for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. The role focuses on developing life and social skills through structured activities and is a full-time, day-shift position with pay of $19.00/hour.

The DSP will support participants with personal care as needed, document progress, and promote independence in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a Family Care Safety Registry screening.
• Strong work ethic, able to accept supervision and feedback.
• Reliability, punctuality, and scheduling flexibility.
• Interpersonal skills for interaction with individuals served and community.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and sit/stand for prolonged periods.
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance; class E license or ability to obtain.

Responsabilités

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a Family Care Safety Registry screening.
• Ability to show strong work ethic, accept supervision and constructive feedback, as well as provide supervision and feedback.
• Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility in scheduling. The needs of the individuals being served must be met at all times.
• Interpersonal skills to engage in appropriate interaction with individuals served, team, and people in the community and/or other agencies and entities.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and sit/stand for prolonged periods.
• Valid driver's license and proof of personal automotive insurance if transporting individuals in personal vehicle. Must posses or be able to obtain a class E driver's license.
• Ability to complete all agency required training and certifications within 90 days of hire (CPR/First Aid certification, Level One Med Aid Certification, Abuse/Neglect training, etc.) as required by agency and DMH.
