CHOICE is a Minnesota-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities through education, employment support, and community activities. We seek a Direct Support Staff to assist participants in day programs and the community with education, job coaching, and daily living skills.

You will work 35–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with no evenings or overnights.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services is strongly preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 1 year of experience providing direct care to people with disabilities is required.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
• Must pass criminal background study.
• Ability to physically bend, stoop, reach, and lift at least 40 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Education and Enrichment: Plan and implement educational and recreational activities.
• Employment Support: Provide job coaching and training for participants in community jobs or volunteer positions.
• Community Integration: Support safe participation in community activities, including transportation as needed.
• Support Plan Delivery: Implement Positive Support Strategies per written plans and assessments.
• Care and Supervision: Perform basic health, medical, and personal care procedures following licensing regulations.
