Job summary

Sevita, Glasgow, KY, is hiring a Program Assistant for our Adult Day Program. You will support older adults and individuals with various needs, assist with daily activities, transportation, and lead engaging activities in a compassionate, community-based setting.

We offer a steady full-time dayshift with a supportive team and opportunities for growth. This is a meaningful role where you help participants stay active and connected in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in human services preferred.
• Valid driver's license with at least 1 year of driving history required.
• CPR/First Aid knowledge or willingness to obtain.
• Compassionate, patient and dependable personality.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to older adults and individuals with brain injuries, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or behavioral/mental health needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and transportation to program.
• Help plan and lead engaging group and individual activities.
• Promote independence, self-esteem, and social skills.
• Ensure safety, care, and emotional support at all times.

MENTOR Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.

Program Assistant – Adult Day Program (Full Time)

What You'll Do

• Provide hands-on support to older adults and individuals with:
• Brain injuries
• Intellectual/developmental disabilities
• Behavioral or mental health needs
• Assist with daily living activities (ADLs)
• Transport and pick up program participants using the program van
• Help plan and lead fun, engaging group and individual activities
• Promote independence, self-esteem, and social skills
• Ensure safety, care, and emotional support at all times

What We're Looking For

• 18+ with a high school diploma (or equivalent)
• At least 1 year of experience in human services (preferred)
• Valid driver's license with a minimum of 1 year of driving history (required)
• CPR/First Aid knowledge (or willingness to obtain)
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
• Strong communication and attention to detail
