Job summary

Just Family Center, part of the Sevita family, is seeking a Program Assistant in Liberty, KY to support our Adult Day Program. You will provide meaningful care to health-impaired older adults and individuals with brain injuries or developmental disabilities, helping them stay engaged and independent.

Daily tasks include assisting with personal care, activities, meals, and medication administration, while promoting safety and social interaction.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 18+.
• Minimum one year experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Must pass TB test and health screenings.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to health-impaired older adults and individuals with brain injuries, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and behavioral or mental health diagnoses.
• Assist with development and implementation of individual and group activity programs.
• Support daily living activities including personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Promote independence by teaching life skills, encouraging self-advocacy, and building self-esteem.
• Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of individuals in a structured day program setting.
• Assist with participation in community-based activities and social engagement.
• Foster positive relationships and encourage social interaction.

Job description

Just Family Center, a part of the Sevita family, provides home and community-based services including day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs, attendant care and case management. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.

Schedule: Full-Time

Wage: 11/Hr

Would you like to make a difference every day in someone’s life? As a Program Assistant in our Adult Day Program, you’ll provide meaningful support and play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for the individuals we serve.

Position Overview

• Provide care and support to health-impaired older adults and individuals with brain injuries, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and behavioral or mental health diagnoses
• Assist with the development and implementation of individual and group activity programs

Requirements – Please Read Carefully

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum one (1) year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred (experience with older adults is a plus)
• Current physical (within the past 12 months) and annual TB test required
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
• Knowledge of vital signs, weights, and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
• A caring, compassionate attitude with a dedication to supporting others
• Reliable, responsible approach and commitment to quality care
