Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Rockville, MD is seeking a Dayporter to perform basic maintenance tasks, including housekeeping, occupancy, and custodial duties within a designated building.

You’ll support Workplace Experience by delivering world-class service, maintaining cleanliness of the property and equipment, assisting with moving materials, inventory, and office space relocations, under close supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of related experience.
• Must be able to lift or carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and shared areas.
• Perform physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving materials.
• Organize inventory of storage rooms to ensure contents are stocked.
• Respond to employee desk and office lockouts and manages replacement keys.
• Follow government and company regulations related to building operations and work safety.
• Complete general labor work as assigned (office furniture repairs, replacing ceiling and carpet tile).
• Assist internal employees with office space relocation by delivering and collecting packing supplies.
• Help maintenance staff, engineers, and vendors with special projects and review work upon completion.
• Answer common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisor.
