Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness and order of common areas in office buildings and other facilities. Responsibilities include spot-cleaning lobby doors, vacuuming elevator cabs, restrooms, and sweeping entrances, with reports to the Management Office.

The role emphasizes dependability, punctuality, safety, and the ability to perform tasks during high-traffic periods while supporting building engineers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors
• Polish chrome on lobby doors
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
• Check restrooms twice daily
• Vacuum lobby floors daily
• Sweep stairwells and landings
• Remove debris from landscaped areas as needed
• Sweep building entrances
• Report lights out to Management Office
• Police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper/ debris during high-traffic times
