Job summary

ServiceFM (SFM) is seeking a dependable Day Porter/Custodian for an educational facility in the Brentwood area. The role emphasizes a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, faculty, and visitors.

The position requires physical work, reliability, and teamwork, with a 40-hour weekly schedule, Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, plus occasional evenings/weekends for events. Compensation starts at $18.00/hour with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Fingerprint background check required for school employment.
• Ability to perform physical work: walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing and pulling.
• Reliable and customer-focused with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic smartphone or computer skills to log work hours.
• Able to work in smoke-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, dust, mop floors (wet and dry).
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Clean windows and interior surfaces.
• Remove debris from entrances and grounds.
• Set up/break down furniture for school events.
• Perform periodic floor care and carpet maintenance during breaks.
• Carry out porter duties like moving boxes and supplies.
• Follow safety procedures, cleaning standards, and quality expectations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Day Porter/ Custodian to perform general cleaning and floor care in an educational facility in the Brentwood area. This position plays an important role in providing a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, faculty, and visitors.

Responsabilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and dry mop floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean windows, doors, and other interior surfaces.
• Remove debris from building entrances and surrounding grounds.
• Set up and break down tables, chairs, and furniture for school events.
• Perform periodic floor care and carpet maintenance during school breaks.
• Perform porter duties, including moving boxes, furniture, and supplies, and completing other assigned tasks as needed.
• Follow company safety procedures, cleaning standards, and quality expectations.

Work Schedule

• 40 hours per week.
• Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
• Occasional evening and weekend work required to support special events throughout the year.

Requirements

• Must successfully pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check required for school employment
• Ability to perform physical work, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, and pulling
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service

• Basic smartphone or computer skills to record work hours accurately

Compensation

• $18.00 per hour
