Job summary

Ethans Crossing Cleveland is seeking an Intake Coordinator to manage admissions with empathy, accuracy, and urgency during busy hours. You will answer referral lines, verify insurance, collect demographics, and schedule assessments/admissions.

Join a supportive team in a day shift, 3x12s, with every other weekend rotation, and contribute to smooth bed management, real-time logs, and coordination with nursing and clinical staff to keep care plans moving.

Qualifications

• Healthcare admissions or behavioral health front‑office experience preferred.
• Superb communication, multitasking, and EMR proficiency.
• Calm under pressure with customer‑service excellence.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 yrs or older.
• Preferred STNA, MHT, BHT.

Responsibilities

• Answer referral lines; triage calls from families, EDs, and providers with warmth and professionalism.
• Verify insurance, gather demographics, and schedule assessments/admissions.
• Track bed board and collaborate with nursing, EVS, and security for timely room readiness.
• Maintain real‑time logs, dashboards, and handoffs between shifts.
• Coordinate with rounding providers and daytime interdisciplinary teams to keep care plans moving.
• Support safe discharges and smooth handoffs to evening/night teams.
