Job summary

Metropolitan Family Services seeks Direct Support Professionals for the Day Habilitation Program (part-time). The positions include Tue, Wed and Fri shifts from 6:30am to 3:30pm to provide habilitation and vocational activities and supervision to individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities include teaching daily living skills, documenting progress notes, assisting with personal care, and transportation support to activities or home, with a focus on safety and community integration.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work between 6:00am-3:30pm.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to assist with lifting disabled individuals.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of independent living skills services per each Individual Service Plan.
• Train on habilitation and vocational activities to increase independence.
• Assist with personal hygiene as needed.
• Provide supervision and support in community settings.
• Complete skill development, support, and progress notes.
