Job summary

Faith Day Habilitation seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to work with adults with intellectual disabilities, promoting their wellbeing and personal goals. You will collaborate with the team and families to implement habilitation plans, assist with daily living activities, and support community participation.

A valid driver's license and a high school diploma or GED are preferred, with 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience with people with intellectual disabilities.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive working relationships with persons receiving services, families, co-workers, management and the public.
• Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with parents, guardians and other professionals.
• Implement outlined Habilitation and Behavioral Support plans/programs.
• Assist with personal care of persons receiving support as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications to persons receiving support after successful completion of medication administration course.
• Assist individuals with planning and participating in community activities.
• Drive agency vehicles for transportation of persons receiving support and adhere to all related vehicle operation policies.
