Job summary

Empac Group, Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide individualized support in a day habilitation program. This full-time role promotes independence, inclusion, and community participation while ensuring health and safety for adults with developmental disabilities.

You'll work Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, and may drive to activities as needed, collaborating with a supportive team to help develop skills and meaningful routines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education/experience in human services or related field preferred.
• Previous experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Compassion, patience, and commitment to supporting individuals with diverse needs.

Job description

The Direct Support Professional provides individualized support, supervision, and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities in a day habilitation program. The DSP is responsible for promoting independence, inclusion, skill-building, and community participation while ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of each individual served.

Full‑time position

Monday - Friday

Hours: 7:30am - 3:30pm

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education/experience in human services or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to supporting individuals with diverse needs.
• Valid driver’s license and obtain a Class E license within 30 days of hire.
• Successful completion of background checks, drug screen, CPR/First Aid, and any required state or agency trainings.
