Job summary

Catholic Charities Worcester County seeks a Direct Care worker for Mercy Centre in West Boylston, MA. You will implement instructional activities, provide daily living supports, and help individuals access community resources with professionalism.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years in human services. You will work under the Day Habilitation Manager and participate in staff development and documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years’ experience in human services or related field, preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and independence for individuals in the program.
• Implement instructional activities in the facility and in the community.
• Provide instruction, guidance, supervision, documentation and role modeling.
• Develop understanding of individual needs, goals and required assistance to ensure safety.
• Collect data related to goals and objectives and document accordingly.
• Provide community access for individuals using agency or personal vehicle.
• Represent Mercy Centre professionally when out in the community.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service training and other development activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with DDS regulations and program policies.
• Assist in maintaining a positive work environment.
