Kennedy-Donovan Center seeks a Day Habilitation Aide in New Bedford, MA to support individuals with developmental disabilities. The role is relief/as-needed with hourly pay ranging from $20.60 to $23.00, benefiting from a multi-disciplinary team approach and structured schedule Monday–Friday on-site.

Responsibilities include implementing activities, promoting daily living skills, documenting progress, and ensuring client safety in a supportive environment.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities or in a similar human services role.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships.
• Ability to follow individualized plans and provide person-centered support.
• Ability to complete CPR/FA and SafetyCare certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Associate’s degree in human services or related field (preferred).
• Experience in implementing behavior management programs (preferred).
• Additional coursework or training related to developmental disabilities, special education, or behavioral interventions (preferred).

Mansioni

• Client Support & Development: Implement individual and group activities, support daily living skills and independence, assist with transportation and transfers, and follow ISP, behavior, and PBS strategies.
• Data & Documentation: Collect and document data on activities, progress, and behaviors; communicate observations and support clinical documentation.
• Safety & Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment; identify hazards and follow emergency and agency safety protocols.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings and supervision and communicate effectively with team members regarding participant needs and progress.
• Community & Other Duties: Help individuals access community resources, maintain confidentiality, and perform other duties as assigned while supporting participant safety and development.

Conoscenze
