Job summary

Mr. Greens Produce in Houston seeks experienced selectors for day shift to pick full-case grocery, frozen, and perishable items from warehouse slots using pallet jack and forklift. You will load pallets, wrap bundles, and transport to shipping, with safety as a priority.

Ideal candidates are punctual, able to work weekends, and have at least 1 year forklift/pallet jack experience. Drug test required and a readiness to perform in a multi-temperature environment.

• Maintain a food-safe environment and report damaged equipment.

Seeking Experienced Selectors for Day Shift in Houston!

Overview

Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately‑owned produce distributors in Texas. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week, and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores, and retail outlets.

Summary

Mr. Greens is looking for highly motivated and dedicated Selectors that can work individually selecting full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products from warehouse pick slots using a pallet jack or other equipment. You will then fit the items on a pallet plastic wrap the bundles, transport pallets to a shipping dock and in some cases, load them onto a truck for delivery to customers. All employees are expected to make safety their top priority.

Qualifications

Accountabilities

• Perform general physical activities load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
• Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments
• Select merchandise for shipment and stack on pallet neatly by using a pallet jack or forklift
• Use a pick sheet to find out individual items inside the warehouse
• Breakdown and restack merchandise from pallets
• Verify the quantity of the products
• Ensure items pick accurately and safely to prevent damage
• Keep warehouse tidy by picking up scrap wood, paper, plastic wrappers, and broken pallets
• Maintaining a food-safe environment
• Report any damaged equipment to shift supervisor or maintenance staff
• Other duties as assigned.
