Job summary

The Mandel JCC of Cleveland is seeking a Program Manager for Day Camp and Youth Services to lead year‑round youth programming and supervise staff across multiple programs. The role includes summer site management at Halle Park, coordinating schedules, and ensuring safety and quality of experiences for families.

You will collaborate with the Director and cross‑functional teams to engage families, monitor outcomes, and improve services while aligning with the JCC mission and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, recreation, youth development, sports management, or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in youth or camp programming or supervisory leadership.
• Experience coordinating programs for children and youth across multiple settings or age groups.
• Demonstrated ability to lead staff, manage multiple priorities, and build productive relationships with families and community partners.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn other programs required.
• Knowledge of Jewish culture, values, and practices preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and seasonal schedules based on program needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate year-round youth programs.
• Manage after-school, camp, and special events to align with mission.
• Oversee schedules, staffing, facilities, transportation, supplies, activities.
• Monitor program effectiveness and participants' satisfaction; implement improvements.
• Support registration, communications, recordkeeping, and admin tasks.
• Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, and develop staff.
• Serve as Site Manager for J Day Camp at Halle Park in summer.
• Build relationships with families, schools, and community partners.
• Assist with budget monitoring and purchasing; report on evaluations.
