Job summary

Kennie’s Market Inc. is seeking a Baker to support the Bakery Manager and ensure top quality products and excellent customer service. The Baker will bake donuts, prepare frozen foods, and help maintain a clean, safe bakery environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED with 2–4 years related experience, strong reading, writing, and math skills, and availability to start as early as 5 am on weekends and variable weekdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate with customers and staff.
• Ability to perform basic math for discounts and percentages.
• Must be available to start as early as 5 am on weekends and weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Bake donuts.
• Prepare frozen food for the oven.
• Work efficiently in a self-driven environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at bakery areas.
• Inspect equipment for operational performance and preventative maintenance.
• Assist in finishing and filling donuts and pastries, pies and cakes.
• Cooperate with other departments during store promotions.
• Assist workers in other departments when the needs of business require.
• Know what food preparations are necessary and the steps to accomplish them.
• Obey all safety standards as outlined by the company.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Bakery Manager, Assistant Bakery Manager, Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
