Job summary

Kennie’s Market Inc. is seeking a Baker to support the Bakery Manager and ensure top quality products and excellent customer service. The Baker will bake donuts, prepare frozen foods, and help maintain a clean, safe bakery environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED with 2–4 years related experience, strong reading, writing, and math skills, and availability to start as early as 5 am on weekends and variable weekdays.

• Know what food preparations are necessary and the steps to accomplish them.
• Obey all safety standards as outlined by the company.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Bakery Manager, Assistant Bakery Manager, Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.

Job description

The Baker is responsible to perform duties as directed by the Bakery Manager and/or Asst. Bakery Manager for the successful operation of the Bakery department. The Baker is responsible to see that all Kennie’s customers are provided with top quality products and the best customer service available.

Requirements:

• EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or General Education Degree(GED) and two(2) to four(4) years related experience and/or training.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions for equipment, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively to our customers and employees.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.
• REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• AVAILABILITY: Must beavailableto work as early as 5 am on weekends and variable weekdays.
