Typical hours are Tuesday–Friday 3:30 am–11:30 am and Saturday 4:30 am–9:30 am, with Saturdays required. Flexibility for early mornings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of previous experience in from-scratch baking, pastry, or restaurant setting.
• Equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• Experience with cake decoration techniques is beneficial.
• Experience in high-volume production environments.
• Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment (mixer, blender, dough sheeter).
• Food safety knowledge recommended; obtain Food Handler's certificate if needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
• Flexibility for early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Decision-making and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Decorate baked goods with glazes, icings, and toppings for presentation.
• Assess the quality of raw materials prior to baking.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of utensils and equipment.
• Prepare bakery items according to customer requests using appropriate equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
