Job summary

Norlee Group is seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist to lead our payroll function, ensuring accurate processing, audits, and regulatory compliance across local and national requirements. The role demands collaboration with HR and accounting, strong leadership, and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/HR or related field, with at least 5 years of payroll experience (2+ in supervision) and proficiency with Sage and MS Office 365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years payroll experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory/management position.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax compliance.
• Previous experience with payroll software and timekeeping systems, particularly Sage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage payroll department operations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax withholdings, benefits, and reporting requirements.
• Monitor and review payroll tax filings to ensure timely and accurate submission.
• Review and approve weekly payroll reports for accuracy and adjustments.
• Collaborate with HR to transfer new hires, terminations, and changes into payroll systems.
