ImpactLife in Davenport, IA seeks Lab Assistants for our Processing Laboratory to prepare donor samples for testing and support Bench Techs to ensure the right product is delivered to patients.

This is a 30+ position working a 3rd shift with weekend and holiday rotation, offering paid training and opportunities for advancement within a leading community blood center.

Qualifications

• Very detail oriented with great accuracy.
• Great communication skills, and a team player.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required; previous work in the medical field is preferred.
• Associate's Degree or Medical Assistant Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare blood donor samples for testing and perform quality control testing.
• Provide support to the Bench Techs to ensure the right product gets to the right patient.
• Prepare components, release and label products, and prepare products for shipping.

In addition, our Lab Assistants prepare components, release and label products, and prepare products for shipping.

This is a 30+ position working 3rd shift every other Saturday and Holiday rotation.

What does it take to change the world?

• Very detail oriented with great accuracy.
• Great communication skills, and a team player.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required; previous work in the medical field is preferred.
• Associate's Degree or Medical Assistant Degree is preferred
• The ability to stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift up-to 50 pounds.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.
