Job summary

Gong is seeking an IT DataOps BI Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. You will build, optimize, and maintain data infrastructure to support business analytics, data integration, and automation using a modern stack (GCP, AWS, Snowflake, Jenkins, dbt, Retool, Census, Tableau, Workato).

You are a self-starter capable of navigating fast-paced environments while managing stakeholders. This role emphasizes RETL pipelines, Tableau administration, Retool app development, and AI tooling

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in BI Engineering, analytics engineering, or IT infrastructure supporting data platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake, GitHub, and dbt for scalable data modeling and transformation.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (Fivetran, Census, and Workato) and workflow orchestration.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience with ad hoc analytics to support customer reporting requests.
• Familiarity with IAM and access control principles.
• AI/LLM integration experience with REST APIs into data pipelines or front-end tools (Retool).

Responsibilities

• Reverse ETL design, development, and ownership of scalable RETL pipelines using Census, Workato, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Map transformed data models into destination SaaS apps (Salesforce, Zendesk) with API rate limits, webhooks, and observability.
• Integrate data across sources (cloud and on-prem) using IPaaS or API extractions.
• Tableau administration, security, provisioning, scheduling, and performance tuning.
• Develop internal Retool apps integrated with Snowflake and APIs.
• Establish governance for dashboards and BI environments.
• Integrate AI tooling to automate workflows and generate insights.
• Pilot and implement new AI features in the BI stack.
