Responsibilities

• Install, mount, and remove servers, switches, and hardware in racks.
• Track server hardware, components, cables, and lab assets.
• Receive, inspect, document, label, pack, and ship hardware and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe lab, including cable management.

Akkodi's is seeking a Data Center Technician - Lab Operations for a 12 Months contract position with a client located in Santa Clara, CA 95054 - Onsite. Ability to Work Independently - must be able to stay focused, on tasks, and meet HOURLY production expectations in a WFH environment comes as a plus.

Job Title : Data Center Technician - Lab Operations

Duration : 12 Months

Pay Range: $30/hour - $33/hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in IT, Electronics, or a related technical field is preferred.

Required Skills:

• Racking and Stacking: Hands-on experience installing, mounting, and removing servers, switches, and other hardware in equipment racks.
• Inventory Management: Experience tracking server hardware, components, cables, and lab assets while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Shipping and Receiving: Experience receiving, inspecting, documenting, labeling, packing, and shipping hardware and equipment.
• Lab Organization and Cleanliness: Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment, including proper cable management and equipment organization.
• Hardware Handling and Teamwork: Ability to handle IT equipment safely, follow established procedures, and coordinate with engineering, logistics, and facilities teams.
