Title: Data Center Operations Technician

Location: Lithia Springs, GA

Duration: 8-month contract to hire

Training Period (90 days):

Day Shift: 7am - 3pm

Wing Shift: 3pm - 11pm

Night Shift: 11pm - 6am

MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING ANY SHIFT

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in HVAC (commercial or residential)
• Proficiency with multimeters
• Experience installing HVAC systems (troubleshooting experience is a plus)
• Proven ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems
• Experience handling service calls
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers, including:
• Electrical feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear
• UPS systems, DC power systems, ATS/STS units, PDU units
• Breakers, batteries, load bank connections

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a data center environment
• Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems

Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to support one of our largest data center clients. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical trade school education in mechanical, electrical, or electronics. Preferred certifications include EPA, OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, NFPA-70E (Arc Flash), and Data Center University. The technician must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC related roles. Key responsibilities include maintaining HVAC systems supporting the servers within the data center, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with vendors and contractors.

Compensation:

$27/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
