Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Austin, Texas, seeks a power electronics engineer to support customer designs, validate power solutions, and troubleshoot complex issues. You will work with Field Applications Engineers and Power Systems Engineers to enable successful deployments of Renesas power management technologies.

The role involves hands-on lab validation at the West Lake Hills lab, traveling to customer sites as needed, and collaboration with product marketing, applications engineering, and sales

Qualifications

• Academic or project-based foundation in power electronics and analog circuit design.
• Exposure to control systems, embedded systems, or power management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior FAE to support customer programs through lifecycle.
• Validate and characterize Renesas digital multiphase power solutions.
• Perform hands-on lab testing: efficiency, load transients, power sequencing.
• Support customer board bring-up and system-level validation.
