Job summary

ITCO Solutions, Inc. has a contract role for a DC Site Operations Lead in Santa Clara, CA. You will oversee operational governance, readiness, and production handoffs for large-scale datacenter facilities, coordinating across engineering, facilities, reliability, and operations teams.

The role emphasizes ensuring environmental readiness, data accuracy, KPI development, and efficient escalation management to maintain reliability and scalability across a global datacenter footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise datacenters, cloud infrastructure, hyperscale environments, or high-density compute operations.
• Strong understanding of datacenter power and cooling, capacity planning, monitoring, rack/space management, production readiness, and governance.
• Experience working with engineering, facilities, infrastructure, SRE, and operations teams.
• Experience developing and tracking operational KPIs, metrics, and governance programs.
• Familiarity with DCIM platforms and datacenter asset management tools.
• Knowledge of compliance, audit readiness, and operational acceptance processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational visibility across datacenter infrastructure, including power, cooling, capacity, rack utilization, monitoring, and space management.
• Define, establish, and report on operational KPIs to measure datacenter health, readiness, utilization, and performance.
• Ensure capacity allocations are tracked and managed across asset lifecycle.
• Lead production handoffs and operational readiness for new facilities.
• Coordinate with engineering, facilities, and operations to validate readiness criteria.
• Ensure monitoring, procedures, and capacity controls are established prior to go-live.
• Identify readiness risks and drive remediation to completion.
• Serve as central point of coordination between infrastructure, facilities, engineering, reliability, and operations.
• Manage escalations, dependencies, and issue resolution; communicate risks and status to leadership.
• Develop and improve SOPs, governance standards, and reporting practices.
• Support audit readiness and compliance initiatives.
