Job summary

IREN seeks an Associate Director of Data Center Infrastructure Readiness & Performance to drive readiness from construction through to live operations, shaping standards, KPIs and governance across a growing portfolio of sites in a 24/7 critical facilities environment.

You will own the readiness protocol, lead commissioning handovers, and coordinate with design, construction and operations to ensure scalable, reliable operations while maintaining enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• 12+ years in critical-facilities engineering or mission-critical operations with multi-site scope.
• Proven experience building KPI tracking, audit frameworks, and governance across sites.
• Experience bridging construction to operations, including onboarding and handover with acceptance decisions.
• Progression from hands-on site work to leadership of governance or process improvement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to lead without direct authority across sites.
• Sound technical judgment and ability to enforce standards while aligning with enterprise policies.

Responsibilities

• Own operational readiness for transition from construction to live operations; set readiness levels and lead site teams.
• Set operating parameters, guardrails and risk limits to protect asset health.
• Own the performance framework, KPIs and reporting with the operations centre and data model.
• Own the operating standards suite (SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, maintenance playbooks) and ensure compliance.
• Lead the operational audit and assurance program across sites.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve readiness, scalability and performance.
• Define the competencies to operate assets and support training programs.
• Hold technical authority for standards and deviations; manage change with enterprise alignment.
• Own lessons-learned system and governance framework across the portfolio.
• Act as senior interface between site operations, commissioning and corporate excellence.
