Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering, Inc. seeks a Team Lead – Datacenters to guide a multidisciplinary group while remaining technically engaged.

You will manage delivery, mentor engineers, and maintain client relationships for data center and mission-critical projects across the region. The role balances hands-on engineering with leadership duties, enabling growth in technical direction, QA/QC, and project profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience in industrial, oil & gas or power systems environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical work and mentor engineers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work in technically complex environments.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary operational point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and reliable delivery.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align teams and drive project outcomes.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and provide field support during construction and commissioning.
• Partner with project managers to define scope, manage budgets, and mitigate risks.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Reinforce NEI engineering standards and QA/QC processes.
• Act as a Seller-Doer to support proposals and account growth.
• Represent NEI at industry events and client engagements.
