Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is seeking a Datacenter Operations Manager IT to lead and manage the datacenter infrastructure, including servers, SAN, cloud services, and related systems. The role is within the Technology Operations Department at the Headquarters Office.

The candidate will oversee Datacenter operations, set policies and SLAs, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuous, high-quality datacenter services for all end users.

Qualifications

Eight years of progressively responsible experience in technology management.
Ability to manage cloud-based operations (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) for private/public/hybrid environments.
Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining operating systems, devices, hardware, and software in a datacenter.
Knowledge of Active Directory Services and Microsoft Exchange.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

Serves as principal advisor on Datacenter programs, systems, and operational issues.
Provides direction and planning for Datacenter Operations and revises system plans to support growth.
Oversees administration of Datacenter Operations and ensures timely service and support to all users.
Coordinates cloud base operations with cost control and performance improvements.
Develops policies, SLAs, and measures for Datacenter service delivery across architecture, security, and DR.
Prepares statements of work and acts as COTR for contracted Datacenter services.
