Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to build, maintain, and optimize the cloud-based Databricks data platform across the organisation. You will work with data engineers, architects, analysts and stakeholders to ensure a scalable, secure, and efficient data environment.

Responsibilities include Databricks administration, Terraform-based infrastructure, data ingestion pipelines, governance and security, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 4+ years in Data Engineering / Cloud Platform engineering or related.
• Experience administering Databricks environments.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Strong SQL and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting production environments and operational workloads.
• Understanding of data governance and modern data architecture concepts.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Databricks environments supporting analytics workloads.
• Develop and maintain Terraform-based IaC for cloud infra.
• Build and support data ingestion pipelines across platforms.
• Ensure governance, security, and metadata practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to optimize data processing.
