Job summary

Lumenalta (formerly Clevertech) seeks a senior solutions architect to lead end-to-end data governance and lakehouse architecture on Databricks AWS GovCloud. You will drive discovery, define policies, and present to security reviewers while guiding a senior engineer and engaging stakeholders across enterprise groups.

You will own the architecture roadmap, collaborate with security, and implement governance, costing, and data quality standards in a regulated, export-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years across solutions architecture or data engineering with production Databricks on AWS GovCloud.
• Deep Unity Catalog expertise with row filters, column masks, and ABAC.
• Translating regulatory requirements (CUI/ITAR) into enforceable data policy.
• Ownership of platform cost and FinOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery across data, security, engineering, and business teams; document topology and governance plan.
• Prioritize work with use-case sessions and scoring on business value and readiness.
• Design target-state Lakehouse architecture and federation decisions.
• Own Unity Catalog governance blueprint, including metastore topology and access control.
• Apply FinOps discipline with budget policies and tagging; set data quality standards.
• Present architecture to security reviewers and drive governance through to implementation.
• Lead build on AWS GovCloud, with workspace topology, network isolation, and Delta Sharing.
• Mentor ingestion engineers and unblock source-system issues.
