Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Databricks Data Engineer II to design, build, and optimize cloud-based data pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and SQL. You will support the modernization of enterprise data platforms and develop both batch and streaming workflows to enable analytics and AI use cases.

A successful candidate will work with clients to implement scalable data solutions, collaborate across teams, and contribute to data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, Engineering, IS, Data Science, Math, or Stats.
• 3+ years in data engineering, ETL development, or data platform engineering.
• 2+ years building data pipelines in Databricks with Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with data models, integration patterns, and cloud-based data processing.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Willingness to travel ~50% depending on client work.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data engineering solutions using Databricks, Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Modernize enterprise data platforms with cloud-based ingestion, transformation, and storage patterns.
• Develop and maintain batch and streaming data workflows for reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Apply data architecture, integration, and data modeling to improve data quality, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with client and Deloitte teams to troubleshoot, enhance, and deliver large-scale data transformations.
