Job summary

Deloitte's AI & Data team is seeking a PROJECT - Data Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and AI use cases across cloud and on-premises environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data models, improve platform performance, ensure data quality, and deliver client-focused data solutions for government and public sector engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field.
• 0-2 years of experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• 1+ years of experience in extract, transform, and load architecture and development.
• 1+ years of experience using Python and Structured Query Language to build or support data pipelines.
• 1+ years of experience working with relational database management systems.
• Ability to travel 0-10%, based on client needs.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining batch and streaming data pipelines for reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Building and optimizing ETL processes using SQL, Python, and data engineering frameworks.
• Integrating data from structured and unstructured sources across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Supporting data quality, validation, monitoring, and issue resolution for production data assets.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data models and improve platform performance.
• Lead projects or workstreams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
