Job summary

Deloitte France is seeking a Data Engineer II to design, build, and optimize Databricks-based data pipelines within a Core AI & Data practice. This role supports modernizing data platforms and enabling analytics and AI use cases for client engagements.

You will work with teams to implement cloud-based ingestion, transformation, and storage patterns, with a focus on scalable, high-quality data solutions and measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or data platform engineering
• 2+ years building data pipelines in Databricks using Spark, Python, and SQL
• Experience with cloud-based data processing and data modeling
• Travel up to 50% depending on client engagement; immigration sponsorship may be available

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data engineering solutions using Databricks, Spark, Python, and SQL
• Modernize enterprise data platforms with cloud-based ingestion, transformation, and storage patterns
• Develop batch and streaming data workflows to support reporting and AI use cases
• Apply data architecture and modeling practices to enhance data quality and platform performance
• Collaborate with client and Deloitte teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver large-scale data transformations
