Job summary

Slalom is hiring a Data Engineer to help deliver complex Data and AI projects and build reliable data solutions. You will develop and optimize data pipelines using Databricks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply modern data engineering practices to production workloads.

Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, Java and cloud data warehouses is required. The role requires 3+ years of data engineering experience and 1+ year with Databricks, and familiarity with Apache Spark, Redshift,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• 1+ years of hands-on data pipeline design and development experience with Databricks.
• Ability to design and build robust, scalable configuration driven data pipelines.
• Proficiency with Big Data Platforms: Apache Spark, Presto, Amazon EMR.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses: Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery.
• Strong programming skills including SQL, Python, Java, etc.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools and workflows including MLflow and modern data/AI agentic workflows.
