Job summary

Deloitte’s Core AI & Data practice seeks a Databricks Data Engineer II to design, build, and optimize cloud-based data solutions enabling large-scale transformation. You’ll collaborate with business and technology teams to modernize data environments and support analytics and AI use cases across client engagements.

A successful candidate will bring 3+ years in data engineering and 2+ years in Databricks, with AWS/Azure/GCP experience, and the ability to travel ~50% as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or data platform engineering.
• 2+ years of experience building data pipelines in Databricks using Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Experience implementing data models, data integration patterns, and cloud-based data processing workflows.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to travel 50% on average depending on client engagements.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data engineering solutions using Databricks, Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Support modernization of enterprise data platforms with cloud-based ingestion, transformation, and storage patterns.
• Develop and maintain batch and streaming data workflows for reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Apply data architecture, integration, and data modeling practices to improve data quality, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with client and Deloitte teams to troubleshoot issues and support delivery of large-scale data transformation programs.
