Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an experienced Database Security Engineer to support Guardium-driven activity monitoring and security automation. The role covers provisioning, patching, upgrades, and reporting to strengthen database security and visibility.

The engineer will collaborate across teams, automate processes with Python, and contribute to certification and compliance efforts in a hybrid, multi-site setting in the U.S. Plano location is a primary site.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Python, Unix/KSH shell scripting, and PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle or MSSQL or other RDBMS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with product certifications and process automation related to database security and monitoring.
• Experience with emerging databases such as CockroachDB, Cassandra, and Postgres.
• Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS or Azure) and familiarity with GitHub Copilot and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking an experienced engineer to support their Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) program, with a strong focus on IBM Guardium. This role will be responsible for engineering solutions across database security, automation, certifications, patching, upgrades, provisioning, and reporting.

Location: Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid: minimum of 3 days per week)
