Clicklease in Draper, UT is seeking a Data Engineer to own and operate our on‑prem/self‑hosted database stack on AWS EC2, with SQL Server and PostgreSQL. You will ensure reliability, scalability, and security across production systems.

You will automate deployments, partner with DevOps, and help shape data platforms, Snowflake data warehouse, and CI/CD for database changes, while adopting AI-assisted tooling to improve operations.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of administering SQL Server or PostgreSQL in production, with strong hands-on skills in the other.
• High availability, disaster recovery, and backup/restore capabilities.
• Running self-hosted databases on AWS EC2 and Linux in partnership with DevOps.
• Performance tuning and query optimization, including T‑SQL and SQL.
• Automation with Python and scripting; familiarity with PowerShell and Bash; Git workflows with code review.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and incident response; documentation of runbooks.

Responsabilidades

• Keep production databases stable with reliable failover, replication, and disaster recovery plans.
• Own backup and recovery strategy and automate testing of restores and failover.
• Refresh non-production environments from production data safely and repeatably.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune database performance; collaborate on schema design.
• Build and maintain monitoring, dashboards, and alerting; participate in on-call rotation.
