Job summary

Morgan Business Consulting, LLC in the Washington, D.C. area is seeking a Mid-Level Database Management Analyst to provide data analytics support for D PAE Maritime M & S, the Navy's program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment. The role requires strong data handling and collaboration across teams and travel as needed.

You will manage information environments, generate metrics, support meetings, and help translate requirements into data models while pursuing security clearances.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data analytics support for U.S. Navy program offices.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Eligible to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the program knowledge environment, information exchange, and collaborative situation, including SharePoint site and file management systems where historical and current operational files and related media are tracked, stored, and maintained.
• Maintain information flow requirements supporting program mission and operations; leads facilitation sessions to gather requirements and build logical automation models and compositions for data entry, archival, and retrieval
• Review and report project metrics to customers to benchmark data management effectiveness and designs, models, documents, and guides logical and conceptual relationships between data and database changes for metrics and analytics
• Map conceptual designs for exercise scenarios and streamlines logical designs to support translation into specific data models
• Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Database Management Analyst located in the Washington, D.C. area.

What You’ll Do

The Mid-Level Database Management Analyst will provide data analytics support to D PAE Maritime M & S, the U.S. Navy's program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the program knowledge environment, information exchange, and collaborative situation, including SharePoint site and file management systems where historical and current operational files and related media are tracked, stored, and maintained
• Maintain information flow requirements supporting program mission and operations; leads facilitation sessions to gather requirements and build logical automation models and compositions for data entry, archival, and retrieval
• Review and report project metrics to customers to benchmark data management effectiveness and designs, models, documents, and guides logical and conceptual relationships between data and database changes for metrics and analytics
• Map conceptual designs for exercise scenarios and streamlines logical designs to support translation into specific data models
• Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation
• Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items
• Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations
• Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required
• Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC’s clients

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience providing data analytics support to U.S. Navy program offices
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in math, science, engineering, or related field from an institution accredited in the United States
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
