Job summary

Constellation Technologies is seeking a Database Engineer/Administrator with TS/SCI clearance to manage Oracle and other RDBMS systems across multiple environments. The role emphasizes database security, performance tuning, and scripting in a federal contracting context.

The position requires US citizenship and active polygraph, with experience in PL/SQL, Oracle Streams/Data Guard, and Linux-based operations. Travel to contract locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI clearance with active polygraph.

• Experience implementing database security and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL and managing multiple RDBMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Modify scripts and create new scripts for recurring DB issues.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc requests.
• Perform IAVA patching and system updates.
• Support Oracle Streams replication and data replication technologies.

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, IAVA, Oracle, RDBMS, PL/SQL, MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.

Required:

• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph
• Must be a US Citizen
• This position is open to multiple levels of years of experience; two (02) years within the last five (05) years must be directly related to Database Engineering / Administration:
• Level 04 requires a minimum fifteen (15) years of experience
• Level 03 requires a minimum twelve (12) years of experience
• Level 02 requires a minimum nine (09) years of experience
• Level 01 requires a minimum six (06) years of experience
• Minimum of High School Diploma
• Experience with Oracle Database Administration experience to include experience with Oracle data replication technologies
• Experience implementing and maintaining database security
• Experience conducting database performance tuning and monitoring
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems/issues
• Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software
• Experience with procedural languages, for example: PL/SQL
• Perform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system database and Oracle Streams replication issues
• Modify existing database scripts to enhance systems support and create new database scripts for recurring database issues
• Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc requests
• Perform system updates and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching
• Recommend design and implementation practices that optimize the performance of GOTS/COTS databases and applications

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Experience with Oracle Grid/RAC in a Linux environment
• Experience with Mongo
• Experience with real time highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, Oracle Golden Gate, Sybase Replication Server
• Experience with MySQL
• Experience with Cassandra.
