Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking an experienced Database Engineer / DBA with strong PTC Windchill experience to install, configure, and manage our Windchill-backed database infrastructure supporting the Infra PLM reboot initiative.

The role supports a P1 initiative handling 120K+ parts and 600+ ECOs monthly across multiple ODMs, requiring rigorous performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high-availability configurations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of database administration and engineering experience.
• Hands-on expertise with PTC Windchill databases.
• Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
• Installation, configuration, and performance tuning of DBs.
• Backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions.
• Experience supporting production and non-production environments.
• Understanding PLM/Windchill architecture and database dependencies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer / DBA with strong PTC Windchill experience to install, configure, and manage database infrastructure supporting the client’s Infra PLM reboot initiative.

This is a P1 initiative supporting 120K+ parts, increasing product complexity, and manufacturing operations across multiple ODMs. The PLM team currently processes 600+ Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) per month, creating a need for dedicated database architecture and administration support to maintain SLA commitments.
