AtWork Personnel is seeking an experienced Database Administrator – SQL & Epic EHR for a direct-hire opportunity with a major healthcare organization in Tulsa. This role focuses on optimizing enterprise databases, ensuring security, and supporting patient care systems.

You will design structures, tune queries, implement backups, and collaborate with stakeholders while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. A minimum of 3 years of DBA experience and Epic EHR exposure are required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years database administration experience
  • Healthcare industry experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator – SQL certification required
  • Strong SQL/database administration and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise databases to ensure performance, reliability, security, and data integrity.
  • Design and implement database structures based on organizational and business requirements.
  • Monitor database performance and tune SQL queries and configurations.
  • Maintain and update SQL code, troubleshoot errors, and enhance database functionality.
  • Implement security measures, including access controls and encryption.
  • Develop and maintain database backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot database issues to minimize downtime and potential data loss.
  • Analyze existing systems and recommend enhancements and solutions.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to identify database needs.
  • Plan for future database capacity, storage, and organizational growth.
  • Help maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards and assist with audits.
