Brooksource seeks a Database Administrator to support the USTRANSCOM IT Service Management effort at Scott Air Force Base, IL. The role maintains and optimizes C2 and business applications, ensuring security, compliance, and high availability in Unix/RedHat and cloud environments.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree (or 2+ years experience), active Secret Clearance, US citizenship, and strong SQL, backup/recovery and troubleshooting skills. On-call rotation and vendor liaison duties are included.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of database administration experience or advanced degree.
• Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications.
• Strong knowledge of data backup, recovery, security and SQL.
• Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
• Experience with Unix/RedHat environments and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Active Secret Clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilidades

• Administer, maintain, and optimize database servers and related hardware/software.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems and system management tools.
• Monitor high availability and performance of systems and infrastructure.
• Implement backup, recovery, security, integrity, and redundancy strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database and system issues; provide on-call support.
• Participate in design, documentation, and operational support of information systems.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and ensure security compliance.
• Liaise with vendors and IT staff for problem resolution and system improvements.
• Maintain configuration management and documentation.
• Support Unix/RedHat, Windows Server, and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
• Monitor application performance and work with developers to implement fixes.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
• Manage and monitor all installed systems to ensure availability.
• Contribute to the design of information and operational support systems.
• Report system vulnerabilities and remediation progress.
