Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Database Administrator to support a mission focused on designing a data-centric architecture leveraging cloud computing and AI. You will work on a platform centralizing OSINT across DoD and IC, integrating software for data exploitation and analytics.

The role requires 8+ years experience (or 6+ with a Master's), Security+ and cloud certs, and TS/SCI clearance; on-prem and cloud DBs, CI/CD and devops experience are valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with degree, or 6+ years with a Master's, or 12 years with no degree.
• Security+ and cloud certifications required for access.
• 3+ years administering SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
• 3+ years scripting databases via command line interfaces.
• Hands-on design of schemas, data models, and performance tuning.
• Experience on-premises and cloud database platforms.
• CI/CD and DevOps experience; agile team participation.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to develop ETL solutions for heterogeneous datasets.
• Administer, maintain, upgrade, and optimize databases addressing technical debt.
• Design and improve database schemas and data models.
• Document database design and interfaces with other systems.
• Define formats for data exports/imports and APIs for data sharing.
• Manage multiple database instances across environments ensuring data consistency.
• Support CI/CD automation, code promotion, and deployment operations.
• Participate in daily scrums and program increments.
