Job summary

Applied Research Solutions (ARS) is seeking a Database Administrator SME to support USSTRATCOM at Offutt AFB, NE. The role focuses on managing Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL across three client-server systems in a classified program, with DoD compliance and security requirements.

You will implement backup/recovery strategies, monitor performance, and ensure data integrity while coordinating with STRATCOM personnel and contractors to maintain continuous operation of mission-critical databases.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• BA/BS degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, 5 years in DoD.
• DoD 8140 equivalent to IAT Level II certification.
• Certified Database Administrator (Oracle OCP or better).
• Experience with RMF, STIGs, and DoD information assurance.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, support, and optimize three client-server systems in a classified environment.
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain Oracle, SQL Server, or Postgres in virtualized/cloud environments.
• Monitor health, troubleshoot issues, optimize queries, and ensure uptime.
• Manage user access, apply DoD STIGs, and perform auditing and patching.
• Coordinate with Enterprise Architecture and security teams on data gateways and ETL pipelines.
